Accessibility Statement

    Last updated: 9/11/2026

Baum Glass & Mirror LLC works to make this website usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, screen reader, or magnification. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The list below describes what is actually implemented today, not a blanket claim of conformance.

    What is implemented

    • Skip to main content link. A link is the first focusable element on every page. It is visually hidden until focused; pressing Tab on page load reveals it and activating it moves focus past the header navigation to the main content region.
    • Landmarks. Each page uses a single <main> region plus banner (header), navigation, and contentinfo (footer) landmarks so assistive technology can jump between sections.
    • Keyboard operability. Navigation, the mobile menu toggle, the quote form, FAQ accordions, and the chat widget are reachable and operable with the keyboard. Interactive components are built on Radix UI primitives, which manage focus and ARIA state.
    • Alternative text. Logos and project gallery photographs carry descriptive alt text; purely decorative icons are marked aria-hidden.
    • Labels and required fields. Quote form inputs have associated labels, required fields are marked both visually and programmatically, and validation errors are announced.
    • Contrast and text. The dark theme with yellow accents was chosen to meet AA contrast for body and heading text, and page text resizes with browser zoom without loss of content.
    • Headings. Pages use one <h1> and a sequential heading order so screen reader users can navigate by structure.

    Known limitations

Some gallery photographs use short alt text that describes the installation type rather than every detail in the image. Animated section transitions are used on scroll; we are working toward fully honoring the operating system's reduced-motion preference across all components. We have not yet completed a formal third-party audit.
